Wedding Planner

A wedding planner is a person who works with the couple to plan their wedding months or years in advance. They book the caterers and the band, sketch out the vision with florists and the venue, and make sure invitations are sent out on time. As a wedding planner, JessEvent can: • Provide vendor referrals and negotiate contracts; schedules and attends all vendor meetings. • Create detailed timelines and floor plans. • Help determine and manage your budget. • Attend site tours and menu tastings. • Brainstorm style ideas and coordinates design details. • Coordinate hotel room blocks and transportation. • Manage the rehearsal. • Oversee everything on the wedding day (make sure everyone adheres to the timeline, handles snafus, manages vendors, and executes your vision on-site).

Day-of Wedding Coordinator

As a day-of wedding coordinator, JessEvent would be responsible for making sure the wedding day or weekend is executed perfectly. Our roles include overseeing vendors, managing the timeline, and overcoming any last-minute challenges that arise during the festivities. Costs vary depending on the JessEvent’s responsibilities. If we just oversee the wedding day, that will cost less than if we help the couple plan last-minute details in the weeks leading up to the big event. The cost is based on the number of locations, the number of hours, and the expected guest count. Many couples hire day-of wedding coordinators if they are planning their wedding themselves and need someone to oversee their work on the big day. JessEvent can swoop in and make sure all the couple’s hard work comes to life while they enjoy their wedding day. JessEvent can also help the couple make sure they aren’t missing any pieces to their wedding, especially small things non-professionals might overlook. As a wedding coordinator, JessEvent can: • Meet with you four to eight weeks before the wedding to get a handle on what you've planned thus far. • Check in with your vendors to review the signed contracts and confirm logistics. • Create detailed timelines and floor plans. • Complete a final walk-through of the ceremony and reception sites. • Address any overlooked details (such as forgetting to hire a coat check attendant). • Manage the rehearsal. • Oversee everything on the wedding day.

Day-of Wedding Coordinator vs.

Wedding Planner

As a wedding planner, JessEvent would help with the original planning, and as the day-of wedding coordinator, we would be responsible for making sure the vision and scheme are executed properly. The wedding planner would make the seating plan, for example, and the day-of coordinator would make sure place cards are numbered correctly and placed in the proper spot. JessEvent is able to be BOTH your wedding planner and your day-of coordinator OR one or the other.

Wedding Designer

A wedding designer's role is purely aesthetic and doesn't include things like contract negotiations or attending appointments alongside the bride. JessEvent specializes in design, consulting on everything from floor plans and lighting design to the flowers, furniture, linens, and attire. We help with the decisions that will give your event a cohesive, stylish, and sophisticated look. The ability to design an event and create an atmosphere is a unique and rare talent. It's more than choosing linens and chairs. JessEvent has an artistic eye that allows us to conceptualize the whole event and truly transform a space. As a wedding designer, JessEvent can: • Create the wedding's design concept. • Provide color palette guidance. • Oversee the decor budget and vendors (florist, rentals, lighting, stationery). • Source special props and equipment. • Attend a site visit to visualize where you want everything to go, devise a layout, and identify potential problems. • Create detailed floor plans. • Ensure all of the decor elements are in place on-site at the wedding.
